The Waverly River Cottage is finished!

After starting on this project, a couple of years ago, we are happy to say that The Waverly River Cottage is finished! And just in time for family to visit for the holidays! We originally planned for the cottage to be a place for mine and Frank’s mothers to come stay, if they ever want to. But until that time, we plan to share with family, friends, and short-term rental guests.

The cottage so much fun to furnish and decorate for Christmas. I believe it will be a fun spot for anyone to come and get away from it all and enjoy our beautiful views and access to the water.

Soon after the cottage was finished, I brought my granddaughter MJ to see it. She started talking about getting her cousin, Anderson, and bestie, Annalise, to come and stay with her there. It was then that I knew we had success.

Storms passed through our area a couple of weeks ago and took out electricity for thousands of people, including my daughter, Kendel, and her family. She was able to bring the kids and come stay in the cottage. The older kids, MJ and Mac, stayed with us in our house, while Kendel and new baby, Mila, got to have a little rest time in the cottage. It was a fun weekend for all of us!

From the time that we first acquired this property, I wanted to be able to share it with others. So, we have just listed our cottage on Airbnb and have already gotten our first guest arriving next month.

Frank and I are excited and looking forward to spring and some good fishing soon. If you or someone you know would like to come visit, we would love to have you.
